About 3 months ago I decided to do a little SEO experiment. My goal was to find a way I could get a site built, hosted and search engine friendly without spending a dime. The results are in and besides the worth of my time I didn’t spend any money. Using weebly’s website builder I was able to quickly publish a website then I used dot.tk to get the free domain chrishornak.tk. No Budget SEO Experiment

Lastnight I was reading “Crush it” by Gary Vaynerchuk, who’s known for using social media to grow his brand and wine library tv. While I was reading it I came to a section where he was talking about choosing a blog platform. The two he really focused on was wordpress, which was no surprise, and tubmlr, which was a surprise. He mentioned that with tumblr you could use your own domain and tumblr would host it for free.

I quickly went to my computer and setup a tumblr account. It was easy to use and took very little time to get started. I then asked myself “could I use this to quickly setup a search engine friendly website with no budget.

After a quick search I found that dot.tk allows you to register a free domain with no ads and found that weebly.com allowed you to make a more flexable website. Tumblr is great but it seemed to be aimed at blogging and social media rather than a static website for businesses.

This is what got me to setup what I’m calling the weebly seo experiment. Visit the website for the latest updates.
